Making change in your life can be uncomfortable. VERY uncomfortable. Fortunately, knowing this and employing a few strategies can help.

Sometimes just recognizing and validating your discomfort goes a long way in helping it dissipate. Know that your brain is just trying to keep you safe in the familiar and the discomfort you feel is just its way of trying to get you to stop changing because change brings uncertainty and uncertainty is very scary for a brain.

Self care helps ease discomfort, and it also gives you the energy you need to actually make and sustain change. In fact, making and sustaining change in your life takes EXTRA energy than just doing your regular routine so you need to add more self care to your daily life. Remember, anything that lifts your energy counts as self care!

Sensory self care is a simple, low cost way to amp up your self care game. What soothing smells, sounds, tastes, textures, and sights can you add to your environment? While working why not put on some music and sip tea in your cozy socks? ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿซ–๐Ÿงฆ
